They are random spawns of either mobs, quest or boss in different maps. Players can participate in them to gain levels and/or gold. Spamming FATEs were actually the fastest and most convenient way to level going back to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

It was a lot of fun because you get to party with random people and see that the population was really active in accomplishing the different FATE spawns in different maps but it was a hassle in terms you waiting for them to spawn and when they spawn, it’s a race to the FATE’s before they finish and you not hitting anything. Right, you just had to hit something once and you will be fully rewarded. So it’s a mixed feeling when it came to doing FATE’s but I would like to think I really enjoyed that way of

Svara – Best Fate!

The one FATE that stood out the most to me was Svara’s Fall in Coerthas Central Highlands. It is your typical “hit and kill boss and gain experience” FATE but the epicness of it is unreal. There are two FATEs before actually confronting the big dragon, Svara.

First, players have to kill little dragons that spawn on the gates of the ruined castle or tower, then more little dragons spawn and kill them again while you wait for the cannons to weaken Svara so that she will land. When Svara lands, it is all hype, bring you’re A-game as to finish her while avoiding getting one-shot by her attacks.

It was funny seeing people running from end to end of the platform because they were getting wrecked by those random little dragons that spawn and at the same time avoiding Svara’s attacks. It was a plus being a healer because I focused on healing people and saw every player’s movement. Being a healer is almost a one hit from the boss was though. Then I did move away from harm’s way but the adds attack me as the healing aggro was insane at the time. It was chaos but really fun!

A Whole New World: Reactive Area and Living World

No MMORPG is perfect, that for sure I can say. There will always be suggestions on how to improve the game even if those opinions are quite not needed. I get that even the littlest part of the game could be done better because I, too, have those sentiments sometimes....

A Community Like No Other

An MMORPG’s community is as important as any aspect of the game in terms of making a player stay playing. If an MMORPG like Final Fantasy XIV has an awful community as if it is compared to a game having a bad gameplay, more likely players will quit. For me, it is a...
