While the third Turn of the Binding Coil of Bahamut was a breeze, many FFXIV account holders will find that Turn 4 is the complete opposite. This gauntlet type raid will test just how quick and coordinated your team is. Get ready for wave after wave of Clockwork mobs that are out to wipe your entire party.

First wave FFXIV Account holders will face

The whole Turn 4 raid is composed of six waves of enemy mobs. Note that a new wave of enemies will spawn every sixty seconds. As such, it is critical that the previous wave be cleared out quickly, or at least considerably weakened.

Final Fantasy XIV account holders will encounter six Clockwork Bugs for the first wave. These spider-like enemies have only two attacks, a basic attack and Leech. The latter will deal damage to its target while healing the bug for a proportionate amount. Dealing with these mobs is simple and can be incredibly quick if your party has access to AoE skills.

Wave 2 FFXIV Account hunters will face

The second wave is composed of two Clockwork Knights and two Clockwork Soldiers. Both mobs have access to basic attacks, a point blank AoE and a Stoneskin buff. Note however that the latter varies between the knight and soldier. The knight’s buff will make it resistant and will reflect magic attacks. The soldier’s Stoneskin on the other hand will be impervious to physical attacks. Final Fantasy 14 account holders will need to break their buff to make them vulnerable to all types of attack. In fact, when the buff is broken, these mobs cease to move for a moderate amount of time.

Clearing the third wave on your FFXIV Account

In the third wave players will be introduced to the Clockwork Dreadnought. This mob only has two attacks, its basic attack and a cleave attack. What makes it dangerous though is its ability to absorb Clockwork Bugs. If it absorbs one, it will recover health and its damage will increase by 25%. Interestingly enough, the way to quickly clear wave 3 is have the dreadnought to absorb all four bugs. Healers then simply need to heal through the increased damage the mob will have.
