Unlocking the raid on your FFXIV Account

Final Fantasy XIV account holders can unlock this set of raids by first completing the Fragments of Truth quest. This is given out by Urianger who is located in The Waking Sands (x6, y4). This quest in turn requires the quest Alisaie’s Resolve to be finished. Aside from the required quests, players will need to have at least item level 110 gear to enter the dungeon. Similar to the previous raids, Final Coil of Bahamut will require a full party of eight players, all at level 50 of a Disciple of War or Magic class. The dungeon can be entered by heading to Northern Thanalan (x19, y20) and speaking to Erkenrad.

FFXIV Account holders meet Imdugud

The boss of the Final Coil of Bahamut Turn 1 is Imdugud. Upon engaging this monster, Final Fantasy 14 account holders will notice the concentric rings in the room. This serve as an enrage timer for the fight. As time progresses, the outer area of the fight becomes covered with electricity that can quickly kill characters. Once the whole area is covered, the entire raid will take around 1,000 points of damage per tick. As such, aim to kill the boss within ten minutes or risk a wipe.

Skills FFXIV Account holders need to watch out for

The boss has a frontal cleave attack called Crackle Hiss. This has a large cone and should be easily avoided if the tank is keeping the boss facing away from the raid. Imdugud also has a tail swipe called Spike Flail so players should stay on the boss’ sides. One of the skills tanks and healers need to keep an eye out for is Critical Rip. This deals a ton of damage but can be survived using cooldowns and shields.
