The Aurum Vale has claimed many miners’ lives in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. In a previous guide we covered how to avoid its nasty traps and its first guardian. Today we’ll go over the rest of the bosses. Final Fantasy XIV account holders can also learn how to get a Morbol Seedling pet from this dungeon.

Aurum Vale

Bonus pet for your FFXIV Gil hunter

The Morbol Seedling minion can be obtained in the Aurum Vale dungeon. FFXIV account holders will find this minion in the second chest of the dungeon. Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters need to dispose of several mobs before they can claim this reward however. In particular, players will need to first take on Morbol fruits that germinate into Morbol Seedlings. Goldvines also need to be taken care of if you wish to get this minion.

FFXIV Gil from the Coincounter

The second boss of the dungeon is Coincounter. This gigantic Cyclops uses several abilities that can spell quick death for your party. Players should be wary of his swipe and swing attacks that deal large amounts of damage in a frontal AoE. If at any time he holds his club with two hands for his 100-Tonze Swing, make sure to get clear. This is a pointblank AoE attack that can one-hit kill most characters.

Coincounter also has two ranged abilities. Glower, fires a laser towards random player. Meanwhile, Eye of the Beholder deals massive damage over a large range. Dodge it by moving closer to the boss.

Getting FFXIV Gil from the Miser’s Mistress

The last boss of Aurum Vale is Miser’s Mistress. Players will quickly notice that the area the boss is in also has Morbol Fruits. Similar to the first boss, these can be used to counter the debuffs the boss uses, particularly those applied by its Bad Breath skill. When the Miser’s Mistress health reached 50% it will start to summon more Morbol Fruits. These will then germinate into seedlings. Take care of these adds and avoid the debuffs until you kill and loot the boss for FFXIV items and Gil.
