Patch 2.3 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn allows players to raise their own Chocobo. The latter can then be summoned by FFXIV account holders as mounts or companions in combat. Raising the creatures however can prove to be challenging and can cost lots of Final Fantasy XIV Gil. Our previous guide however, already covered some points to help with this and we shall continue here.
Cleanliness leads to lots of FFXIV Gil
Final Fantasy XIV account holders need to make sure that their Chocobo’s stable is clean. The state of a stable will determine how well your Chocobo will perform during training. This in turn determines how much experience it will earn.
The cleanliness of the stable can be good, fair or poor. Free company members can check this by simply accessing the stable. Cleaning the stable will improve the condition which will then make the creature gain more experience when training. To clean the stable, the character needs to have a magicked stable broom in their inventory. They will then need to click on Clean Stable on the Chocobo stable interface.
Spending FFXIV Gil on favorites
While there are several FFXIV items that can be used to feed your Chocobo, sticking to one item has its benefits. When a Chocobo is fed the same snack after training repeatedly, it will consider that fruit or vegetable its favorite. Feeding a Chocobo its favorite feed during battle will then give it buffs. Note that the favorite feed is not permanent and can be replaced. Players need to simply feed their Chocobo a different item repeatedly.
Maximizing levels for FFXIV Gil
After sufficient training your Chocobo will gain in rank. Once they have reached the maximum rank players can feed it a Thavnairian onion after training. This will increase the maximum by one. Note that Chocobo companions cannot go above rank 20 this way.
