In yesterday’s guide we went over the remaining skills and mechanics of the first phase of the Final Coil of Bahamut Turn 1. We also showed Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters how to handle the first set of adds in this raid. Today we’ll continue with the remaining phases of this raid. Again, buy FFXIV Gil as you’ll be needed a lot for repairs later.
Heat Lightning and your FFXIV Gil hunter
In the third phase, Imdugud will start using Heat Lightning along with Wild Charge. The former places a Vulnerability debuff that lasts seven seconds on three random Final Fantasy 14 Gil hunters except the one who has the highest enmity. Note that the debuff can spread to nearby characters when it is placed. As such, be sure to spread out when the skill is being cast.
Since the boss will still continue to use Wild Charge, make sure that the characters with the debuff DO NOT block the Wild Charge. Additionally, make sure that your tank and off-tank swap between Heat Lightning casts to ensure that neither of them gets the debuff. This is to make sure you have a tank to help in handling Wild Charge.
Phase four to face by your FFXIV Gil hunters
You will earn cheap FFXIV Gil the hard way in this raid, and phase four is proof of it. Once the boss hits 55% health, this phase is entered. In it two Sons of Imdugud and two Daughters of Imdugud will be summoned. Like before, the boss will be immune while the adds are alive. For this phase however, another set of adds will be summon after twenty seconds. As such, be sure to prevent damage from Prey as anyone getting paralyzed in this phase will spell doom for the raid.
FFXIV Gil hunters and chaos
In the final phase of the fight, the boss will gain a new ability, Cyclonic Chaos. This will target a random player and tether them. After six seconds they explode dealing massive AoE damage, then knocking back and debuffing with Vulnerability those in range. Two players need to stack up next to the tethered player to avoid it being killed. Note that all the other boss mechanics are still in effect so your team needs to manage debuffs, heals and movement wisely.
