The Hard mode of the Halatali dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn was released in Patch 2.2. In this more difficult version, Final Fantasy XIV account holders can gather more FFXIV Gil and FFXIV items. The dungeon also contains mechanics that will keep even veteran FFXIV account holders on their toes.
How to unlock for your FFXIV Gil hunter
Halatali (Hard) is located in Eastern Thanalan. Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters will need to take the This Time’s for Fun quest to gain access to this dungeon. The quest can be obtained from Hugubert in Mor Dhona (x22, y8). Note that players also need to finish the main storyline The Ultimate Weapon to unlock the dungeon. Note that the dungeon is designed for a light party of four players with average item level of 55 and above.
Keep your FFXIV Gil hunter away from traps
Players will notice that the groups of adds are now much tougher and tend to use AoE attacks. The dungeon also now sports various traps in the form of large spiked balls on the ceiling. Make sure to avoid these falling on your party members. They not only deal damage, but also applies a debuff on those unfortunate enough to be under them.
FFXIV Gil from Pyracmon
Pyracmon is the first boss of Halatali (Hard) dungeon. This boss fight will be similar to the Aurum Vale’s Coincounter. Players will need to watch out for his laser attacks and huge cleaves. What makes this boss fight distinct however is the small mechanical Mammet wandering around. Activating the lever this mob is attached to will cause the Mammet to stop and cast Manawall to those next to it. This is critical in avoiding damage from Pyracmon’s 100 Tonze Swing attack. Continue to damage the boss and avoid heavy damage using the Mammet and you’ll clear this fight in no time.
