Patch 2.4 PvP

Dealing damage for FFXIV Gil

Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters can now use two new PvP actions to help damage opponents. The first of which is Overwhelm. This action deals an attack with a potency of 150. When enhanced, the cooldown of the ability is shortened to 60 seconds.  Further enhancement increases the potency to 180. A third enhancement adds a two second stun. The skill is available to Rogues and Ninjas.

The second action is Ill Wind and is also only available to Rogues and Ninjas. The action deals a 170 potency attack to targets nearby. It will also silence those hit for two seconds. Enhancing it will shorten the recast time to 120 seconds. A second enhancement will increase the potency to 200, while a third will lengthen the silence to three seconds.

Looking for other FFXIV Gil hunters

With the addition of the Rogue and Ninja classes, PvP battles change drastically. This is largely due to their Hide ability. This is why the Detect PvP action has been added. When used, it reveals hidden enemies. Enhancing it reduces the recast time to 150 second. The action can be used by Archers, Bards, Rogues and Ninjas.

Another detection related action added by the patch is Malmsight. When used, it shows enemies in a 50-yalm radius in front of you on allied maps. The action can be used by Rogues and Ninjas.

Saving your FFXIV Gil hunter

The last PvP action added by Patch 2.4 is Recouperate. Using it restores 20% of the caster’s maximum HP. Very useful if you want to save restorative FFXIV items. The action can be used by the classes Pugilist, Lancer, Archer, Rogue, Monk, Dragoon, Bard and Ninja.
