Tam-tara Deepcroft (Hard)

Sending your FFXIV Gil hunter in

The Tam-Tara Deepcroft Hard dungeon is the third dungeon introduced by Patch 2.3. It is designed for a party of four level 50 Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters. Entry to the dungeon requires the Corpse Groom quest that can be taken from Paiyo Reiyo. This NPC can be found at the Steps of Nald in Ul’dah (x12, y8). The dungeon requires characters to have an average item level of 70 or more.

Gates, coffins and FFXIV Gil

Throughout the dungeon, players will encounter pedestals and linked orbs that serve as gates in the dungeon. These will have to be interacted with to enable access to the rest of the dungeon. Of course, players need to be wary of the mobs that will defend these points from invaders.

Another thing players will notice in the dungeon are coffers and coffins. Interacting with them will cause enemies to spawn and attack the group. Note that the character that opens the coffin will be stunned for a few seconds. As such, make sure to have someone other than the tank and healer to touch these containers.

Liavinne and your FFXIV Gil hunters

The first boss of the dungeon has the usual set of skills both AoE and single target. What dungeon divers need to watch out for are his two skills that mark a player. One of these, will cause a swarm of adds to follow the marked player. While the adds do not deal a lot of damage, if they are manually killed, all players take some AoE damage and receive a debuff.

The second skill Liavinne uses will deal an AoE attack on another marked player. This will deal damage to both the player and any of the adds summoned by the earlier skill. This mechanic should be used to dispose of the said mobs. If the adds are killed with this skill, there will be no AoE damage or debuff. Repeat this as necessary until the boss is defeated.
