In the first part of our guide to Turn 4 of the Second Coil of Bahamut, we showed how veteran and new FFXIV account holders can handle some of the skills Nael uses in the raid. Here, in part two we take a look at the other abilities this boss has and how to survive them.

Skills FFXIV Account holders need to be wary of

During the first phase of the fight, aside from the skills discussed in part one, Nael will also use Raven and Dalamud Dive. This will make her hit the tank with an AoE attack after briefly disappearing. Final Fantasy XIV account holder should take care not to stay too close to the tank to avoid the damage from this.

Another skill the boss uses is Lunar Dynamo. This is a fairly large AoE skill that deals damage to characters. It will also heal the boss for each party member hit. As such, try to stay away from Nael when you know that this skill is coming.

Streams FFXIV Account holders need to be cautious of

Yet another skill in Nael’s arsenal is Meteor Stream. When used, the boss will mark four random targets and then disappear. The boss will then swoop in from above and deal damage to the marked targets. Final Fantasy 14 account holders need to note that if this skill is used after Lunar Dynamo, only one set of targets will be selected. Otherwise, Meteor Stream will hit two sets of four targets. Healers need to be ready in case a character has been targeted by the skill twice. The damage from this skill is high enough that they will be on the brink of death after being hit two times.

Phase one rotation for FFXIV Account hunters

Nael’s skills are used in a specific rotation. Memorizing this can help your team survive the first phase better. The boss will start off with Stardust and will follow it up with Ravensbeak. Afterwards, it will use the Iron Chariot and Thermionic Beam combo before summoning more meteors with Stardust. Next it will use Lunar Dynamo with one instance of Meteor Stream. It will then do Ravensbeak followed by Stardust. Next it will perform Meteor Stream twice followed by Ravensbeak before another Meteor Stream. After this, the rotation repeats assuming Nael hasn’t reached 65% health.
