With Heavensward’s launch getting closer and closer, so does the time for new and seasoned FFXIV Account holders to move on. While this does not mean Eorzea will see a mass exodus, it will mark the passing of an era. To preserve and celebrate all the memories and adventures all the players have had, the Memories of Eorzea Screenshot contest has been launched.
Celebrating FFXIV Account holders memories
While expansions are a common development for nearly all MMORPGs, they mark an end of an era. With new content, features, and even races, Heavensward can signal the end of the golden days of Eorzea and the beginning of Ishgard’s. This does not mean that all the wondrous adventures and fun times in Eorzea need to be forgotten. From May 7 to May 19, Final Fantasy XIV account holders can join the Memories of Eorzea Screenshot Contest. Through it they can recall, cherish, immortalize and share their most memorable experience in the game. Best of all, they can win some items in the process.
Entering your FFXIV Account
Entering your Final Fantasy 14 account into the contest is simple. Just take a screenshot that represents your favorite memory of Eorzea and post it in the contest thread. Make sure that the name of your character, its World, and your choice of prize is included in the post. Images can be cropped using image editing software, but it must not be altered or enhanced in any other way. Additionally, your screenshots need to be uploaded to an image hosting site like Imgur or Flickr. Only one entry is allowed per person and an active account is needed. For more details, check out the official thread here.
Rewards for FFXIV Account holders
There will be 100 winners for the Memories of Eorzea Screenshot contest. These will be chosen by the Development and Operations team based on originality and how well they have conveyed the theme. Winners will be announced on June 29.

Additionally, director and producer Naoki Yoshida will pick 14 lucky players among the 100 winners. These lucky players will get a framed copy of their screenshot signed by Yoshi-P himself.
