Entry requirements for FFXIV Account holders

Regardless if you have a strong FFXIV account, the Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard) will offer you a challenge. Before you can access it however, you will need a character with a Disciple of War or Magic class at level 50. The character also needs to have completed the Main Scenario Quest The Ultimate Weapon. Obviously, they must have cleared the original version of the dungeon. Meeting these requirements, they then need to take the quest The Wrath of Qarn given by Hugubert in Mor Dhona (x22, y8). Note that the dungeon requires a light party of 4 with members having an average item level of 80 or more.

FFXIV Account holders remember your keystones

While the trash mobs in the Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard) Final Fantasy 14 account holders will encounter in the dungeon are nothing out of the ordinary, players will need to keep an eye out for Cracked Qarn Facers. These mobs drop keystones, particularly Sun, Moon and Star Spheres. These are used to unlock doors inside the dungeon.

FFXIV Account holders vs Damaged Adjudicator

The first boss of the dungeon is the Damaged Adjudicator. The mechanic of this boss revolves around reassembly. The boss will reform itself three times before it can be permanently defeated. To force it to do this, you will need to deal enough damage to a specific body part. This part is marked by a glowing orb. Note that taking the marked part out will cause adds to spawn. These are easy to focus down however.

During the fight the boss will use a number of AoEs. Players will need to be watch out for Dust to Dust which will target a party member and cause them to spawn a sand ball. The latter explodes dealing considerable damage. The boss will also use Shifting Sands. This AoE ability can instantly kill characters pulled under its area, so make sure to stay clear.

Crystal Tower and Hildibrand Overview

Crystal Tower was the very first raid-like instance in Final Fantasy XIV. Coil of Bahamut was not really raid-like for me way back because it was just like a dungeon but double the number of people inside. Honestly, it was just like the Primal fights but of course,...
