In our earlier guide we covered the basics of Borderlands Ruins (Slaughter) for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Today we’ll continue our guide and inform FFXIV account holders how to win their matches. Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters can also find out how to move about in the field of battle as well as how to buff up their character.
Winning the match for FFXIV Gil
Final Fantasy XIV account holders’ goal in the Borderlands Ruins (Slaughter) is to have the most tactical points by the end of the match. Alternatively, the first team to reach the required tactical points for the match wins. Tactical points can be earned by defeating FFXIV Gil hunters of the opposing team.
Players can use mounts to move around the area, there are also teleporters however. These are placed in key locations to help character traverse great distances. They are one way modes of transportation however.
Buffs and limits for your FFXIV Gil hunter
Aside from special FFXIV items that give buffs, players can also get buffs through Battle High and Battle Fever. These two buffs are awarded when a character get consecutive KOs. Battle High is given to characters that defeat four enemies in a row. This improves damage by 20% and fills up the Adrenaline Gauge 1.5 times faster. If the character manages eight KOs in a row, it will get Battle Fever. This buffs boosts damage by 50% and the Adrenaline Gauge fills twice as fast.
The Limit Break gauge is replaced by the Adrenaline Gauge in Borderlands Ruins (Slaughter). This new gauge is not affected by party member actions, but can still be used by solo players. Depending on the role of a character, a different Adrenaline Rush action will be used.
FFXIV Gil and other rewards
Participating teams in Borderlands Ruins (Slaughter) will receive PvP experience along with Wolf Marks. Wolf Marks are also given to those who performed well during the match. Allagan Tomestones of Soldiery and Poetics are also awarded. Note that the amount given is based on how well the team did based on Tactical Points.
