Ever wanted your Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunter to be a start? Well, now is your chance to get your character famous in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s Casting Call contest! FFXIV account holders get a chance to have their FFXIV Gil hunter show up as extras in various quests and scenes in the game. Even better, they don’t need to audition or pay any fees!

Looking for the right FFXIV Gil hunter

As part of the first anniversary celebrations, Final Fantasy account owners have a chance to get their characters to appear as background NPCs in various quests and scenes in Patch 2.4. The development team is recruiting these new talents through the Casting Call contest. While the contest will not offer any FFXIV items or gil as prizes, winners will get their characters immortalized in the scenes they will appear in.

Entering your FFXIV Gil hunter in the contest

Players who want to enter their FFXIV Gil hunter in the contest can enter by sending an email to [email protected]. The email should have the subject “FFXIV: ARR Casting Call Contest”. As for the contents of the email, it should have screenshots of the character wearing equipment as well screenshots of the character with no equipment. For a full list of required screenshots, check here. Images must be in JPG or GIF format measuring between 1024×1024 and 1280×1280 pixels. Additionally, the email should contain the Square Enix ID, name of the character, world name, character race and clan, gender and class. A short description (50 words maximum) of your character is also required.

The contest will run from August 13 to August 25. The development team will choose up to 14 characters to appear in the game. Note that only one entry per player is allowed. Players also need to have an active account to be considered eligible for the contest. Winners will be announce around mid-October.
