Castrum Meridianum

Getting FFXIV Gil from the Colossus

Progressing through this dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will take your party to the third boss: Magitek Colossus Rubricatus. Similar to the previous bosses of the dungeon, players will need to fight this boss along with multiple adds. One tank should pull the boss while another handles the adds that spawn.

The boss has several skills that can be avoided. Players need to be wary of its Magitek Ray skill however. This is an instant attack that not only deals damage to a random target member, but also to those near it. To make it easier on your healer, make sure not to bunch together.

Cannons and your FFXIV Gil hunter

Throughout the dungeon, Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters will use cannons to take out various mobs. In final boss fight, cannons will again be used. Livia sas Junius first form takes very little to no damage from conventional weapons. There are four cannons in the area however that will be periodically loaded. Firing this at the boss is the only way to damage her. Note however that the usual enmity rules don’t apply to this stage of the boss fight. Instead, Livia sas Junius will attack the last character to hit her with a cannon. Fire the cannons, and deal with the adds until she gets off her vehicle.

Livia versus FFXIV Gil hunters

Aside from the cannon battle, the final boss fight with Livia sas Junius is your typical tank and spank. Just be careful of her point-blank AoE that places the Paralysis debuff on characters. Like the other bosses, she will summon adds throughout the fight. These will target a random player but can easily be taken down with multiple AoE attacks. Near the end she will summon a colossus which the second tank can pull aside. Take it out and the boss for loot so you won’t have to buy FFXIV Gil.

Crystal Tower and Hildibrand Overview

Crystal Tower was the very first raid-like instance in Final Fantasy XIV. Coil of Bahamut was not really raid-like for me way back because it was just like a dungeon but double the number of people inside. Honestly, it was just like the Primal fights but of course,...
