In a previous guide we covered the first section and first boss of the Dzemael Darkhold Dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV:  A Realm Reborn. Now it’s time to cover the rest of the bosses of the dungeon. Final Fantasy XIV account holders take note as these bosses can deal heavy damage and easily wipe out your FFXIV Gil hunting party.

Dzemael Darkhold

Defeating Taulurd for FFXIV Gil

The second boss of the Dzemael Darkhold dungeon is Taulurd. This boss has aparticularly powerful AoE cone attacks that Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters need to avoid. Throughout the fight, Taulurd will also summon Deepvoid Slaves. These adds appear on a nearby ledge and will attack the party from range. Note that these attacks are AoE. Considering how constricted the room for this boss fight is, FFXIV account holders should be very careful. Make sure to avoid standing in attack indicators and your party will finish this boss.

Slaying Batraal for FFXIV Gil

The last boss of the dungeon is the demon Batraal. Like the first boss, Batraal has an invulnerability mechanic that is linked to crystal. Before players can deal damage to him, they will need to destroy the crystal tethered to the demon. This is indicated by a purple line from Batraal to the crystal. Be warned however that the crystals will occasionally explode and deal damage to those near it.

Another thing to watch out for during this battle is Batraal’s Desolation attack. This fires three AoE columns towards a targeted character. The attack can instantly kill characters so make sure to strafe away from it quickly.

Lastly, at low health Batraal will begin summoning black void pools under players. Characters standing in the pools will receive damage, unless they move out.

FFXIV Gil and item rewards

Dzemael Darkhold rewards players with Allagan Tomestones of Mythology on top of lots of Gil and items. Players can also loot gear and FFXIV items for item level 46. These include Bucaneer equipment, Coliseum gear, Harlequin set and others.

Crystal Tower and Hildibrand Overview

Crystal Tower was the very first raid-like instance in Final Fantasy XIV. Coil of Bahamut was not really raid-like for me way back because it was just like a dungeon but double the number of people inside. Honestly, it was just like the Primal fights but of course,...
