Getting your FFXIV Gil hunter in

The Labyrinth of the Ancients is one of the wings of the Crystal Tower. It was added in Patch 2.1 and requires a full raid of 24 Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters. To enter the raid, players must first complete the Primal Awakening quest as well as A Performance for the Ages. Additionally, the latter requires completion of Legacy of Allag and Sanding it Down. The raid is designed for Disciples of War or Magic at level 50 and must be cleared within 120 minutes.

Platforms, mobs and your FFXIV Gil hunter

Once inside the raid, players will notice that the Labyrinth of the Ancients does not have the typical trash mobs. Instead it has encounters that play more like mini-boss fights. There are three of these that players will have to go through before they encounter the first boss.

In each of these encounters, players will notice green sections of the floor that are elevated. FFXIV Players will need to get on these when the fights begin. This is because damaging purple goo will fill flood the room. Other than this, the mobs will only provide moderate challenge. Be careful to avoid AoEs and being knocked back into the purple areas and you will survive.

Taking on the Bone Dragon for FFXIV Gil

Like with the earlier encounters, the boss room has raised sections of flooring to avoid damage from the poison flood mechanic. As such, players need to be wary of their footing. The Bone Dragon itself is not too hard to fight and is a simple tank and spank. Note however that it needs to be killed three times.

While alive, it will summon skeleton adds that need to be killed. Once the dragon dies, these skeletons will revive and move toward the boss’ corpse. If they reach the corpse, raidwide damage will be dealt. Three hits of this can easily wipe the raid. Note that if the skeleton adds revive close to each other they will move much faster and will be impossible to take down. As such, kill them away from each other the first time around.
