Lost City of Amdapor

FFXIV Gil from Arioch

The second boss of the Lost City of Amdapor is a giant moth named Arioch. Final Fantasy XIV account holders will immediately notice that this boss does not follow normal enmity rules. Instead, the boss will attack the Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunter with the highest stack of Scale Flakes. This debuff can be obtained from the adds in the boss’ room. Note that while the debuff attracts the boss, it will also increase the damage received by the affected character. As such, make sure to time when to get additional stacks of Scale Flakes. Manage this and avoid the AoEs the boss throws out, and this fight will be done.

Diabolos, doors and FFXIV Gil

Diabolos is the final boss of the dungeon and is easily one of the trickier boss fights in the game. FFXIV account holders will immediately notice several doors on the borders of the boss room. These will have symbols on the top with only two matching. Players will need to remember these two as they are critical in the fight.

Saving your FFXIV Gil hunter from Ruinous Omen

Aside from AoE skills that can only be avoided by stacking or going to maximum range, Diabolos will use Ruinous Omen. This AoE will hit all characters in the room when it has finished casting. To avoid it, the matching doors must be opened and entered. Once a character enters a door, they will disappear from the room and will reappear at the other door after a few seconds. Time it right and Ruinous Omen will hit an empty room. Rinse, cycle and repeat until the boss is dead and the Lost City of Amdapor is cleared.

Crystal Tower and Hildibrand Overview

Crystal Tower was the very first raid-like instance in Final Fantasy XIV. Coil of Bahamut was not really raid-like for me way back because it was just like a dungeon but double the number of people inside. Honestly, it was just like the Primal fights but of course,...
