Snowcloak

Venturing in for FFXIV Gil

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn players will find the Snowcloak dungeon to be designed for characters at level 50. Release in Patch 2.4, it can be accessed once your character has taken the The Path of the Righteous quest. This is obtained by talking with Drillemont in Coerthas Central Highlands (x12, y17). The dungeon can accommodate up to four players, each with an average item level of no lower than 80.

Trash mobs and icicles FFXIV Gil

Heading into the dungeon, players will come across a variety of trash mobs. This will include wolves, polar bears, and even bombs. While they offer no special mechanic, there are a lot of them and can wear down the party.

What players need to be on the lookout though are icicles that drop from the ceiling. These will often occur while dealing with the trash mobs in the dungeon. The icicles will deal AoE damage that can easily be avoided. Deal with the trash mobs and icicles until you reach the first boss.

Don’t let your FFXIV Gil go

Wandil is the first boss of the Snowcloak dungeon. The main mechanic of this fight is the Frozen debuff. When this debuff stacks up to four times it will cause the character to enter Deep Freeze. The character will then be unable to act for ten seconds as well as receive damage.

The debuff can be obtained from Wandil’s AoE attacks. These include his target AoE Cold Wave, the area wide attack Snowdrift, as well as exploding Frost Bombs. Lastly, standing in the ice ring generated by Tundra will generates stacks of Frozen. Keep on top of this mechanic and dwindle the boss down to continue to the rest of the dungeon.
