Primals are powerful entities that roam the world of Eorzea in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Fans of the series will recognize most of them as ‘summons’ in the older games. FFXIV Gil hunters face Primals in difficult Trials or dangerous FATEs, and defeating them will reward you with powerful weapons, unique armor, special mounts, and story / quest progression.
The Dhorme Chimera for FFXIV Gil Hunters
As part of the quest to acquire your Relic weapon, you’ll be asked to defeat the Dhorme Chimera that resides in the cave in the far north eastern corner of the Coerthas Central Highlands. Bring along a party of 8. Alternatively, you may use the Duty Finder once you’ve unlocked the encounter by examining the destination marker there.
Before the Fight for FFXIV Gil Hunters
Make sure you’ve stacked up on items when you buy FFXIV Gil before jumping into the fight. At the start of the battle, everyone except the main tank should run backwards out of the cave into the open area outside and indicate when they are in position. The main tank should then hit the Chimera on the nose and pull it to the outdoor area so that there will be plenty of room to move around. The same with other boss encounters, mobility is the key to survival.
Chimera Abilities for FFXIV Gil Hunters
This fight is very similar to the Chimera you fight in Cutter’s Cry in such a way that there are two main abilities to avoid: RAM’S BREATH is an indication that melee attackers should move back, away from the Chimera, while DRAGON’S BREATH is an indication that ranged attackers should move in towards the Chimera. Keep this in mind as this will ensure your members do not take any additional damage that could’ve been avoidable.
Aside from this, pay close attention to CACOPHONY, an ability that summons an aggro-locked orb on to a random FFXIV Gil hunter. This player will be marked with crosshairs, hence should move away immediately from the rest of the party and then allow the orb to get close. The orb will explode, potentially causing damage and inflicting paralysis, but keeping away from other party members should minimize the work healers will have to do. If one of you is paralyzed, quickly use an anti-paralysis potion which you can get for cheap FFXIV Gil.
Staying Alive for FFXIV Gil Hunters
The final thing to watch out for is RAM’S KEEPER, an attack that leaves a large icy patch on the ground. Move out of the circular ground indicator when it appears. Continue dealing consistent damage and eventually the chimera will fall to the ground, thus granting you Final Fantasy XIV Gil and other rewards.
