Summer has come to Eorzea and new and veteran FFXIV account holders can celebrate the festivities in the Moonfire Faire event. Players can take a break from the grind and enjoy this seasonal event. Cool summer themed prizes are also in store for those who participate. We will go over the basics of the event in today’s article.
Festivities for FFXIV Account holders
A bit of background for Final Fantasy 14 account holders, the Moonfire Faire is a yearly event celebrated in Eorzea. It marks the start of summer and is welcomed with fireworks and general festivities. This year’s grand chaperone of the Moonfire Festival is one Haermaga. Preparations are being made with the help of the Adventurer’s Guild. Unfortunately, not everything seems to be going according to plan. As such, players are being asked to help out. Will this year’s festivities be a bust, or will it be an explosion of fun? Whatever the outcome will be is entirely up to you and your fellow players.
Seasonal FATEs on your FFXIV Account
The Moonfire Faire event will run from August 11 to September 7. The questline for this year’s Moonfire Faire even starts at Haermaga. This NPC is located in Limsa Lominsa, Upper Decks (x11, y13). While details about the quest have not been released, Final Fantasy XIV account holders will be expected to participate in several seasonal FATEs. Expect to take part in The Saron Song, The Belle of the Beach, Sparking Up the Wrong Beach, It Came from Beneath the Deep, Life’s a Beach and Feeling Groggy. Note that during the event two FATEs will be unavailable. Follow the Light and Consigned, Sealed and Undelivered will be unavailable while the Moonfire Faire is being celebrated. As with all seasonal FATEs and quests, they will become unavailable once the event is over.
Rewards for FFXIV Account holders
Completing FATEs for the event will reward players with Faire Tokens. These can then be exchanged for various summer themed items. Players can get fireworks based on the Grand Company they belong to, namely Storm, Flame and Serpent Tracers. Oriental Wind Chimes can also be acquired for your house. Summer festivities will not be complete without a trip to the beach. Frolick in the waters with Southern Seas gear from the event. Males get sea vests and trunks, while females get swimsuits and tangas.
