The Before the Fall patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn adds more than just new Dungeons and Trials. Final Fantasy XIV account holders also get new quests that carry the story of the game further. Of course, FFXIV account holders can get FFXIV items and FFXIV Gil from these quests. Don’t forget the new achievements you can get in the patch!
New Main Scenario quests for FFXIV Gil
The new patch expands the Main Scenario with new quests. Final Fantasy Gil hunters get eight new quests that add to the story of the game. All of the quests require characters with a level 50 Disciple of War or Magic class. To start the new quest line, players will need to talk to Minfilia at The Rising Stones (x6, y5). This should give them the Good Intentions quest. Note that the Let Us Cling Together quest must be first completed. Additionally, The Bowl of Embers (Hard), The Navel (Hard) and The Howling Eye (Hard) must have also been cleared at least once.
New Chronicle quests for FFXIV Gil
Those following the New Chronicles of a New Era quest line in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn get five new quests. Like the Main Scenario quests, these require a Disciple of War or Magic at level 50. The series of quests start with The World of Darkness available from Rammbroes in Mor Dhona (x30, y12). Players will need to finish the Syrcus Tower quest first.
New Achievements for FFXIV Gil hunters
Not all activities in the game give players gil or items. Some feats are done simply for bragging rights. The latter, often in the form of Achievements. If you’re one of those looking for new Achievements and titles to collect, then you’ll be happy to know that 19 new Achievements have been added by the patch. You can find the full list on the official patch notes page.
