In a previous guide we covered how to get into the Brayflox’s Longstop dungeon, as well as two of its bosses. Now we’ll go over the rest of the bosses you’ll encounter in this dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. We’ll also show you how to gain extra items and Final Fantasy XIV Gil from an extra boss.
Defeating Hellbender for FFXIV Gil
The third boss FFXIV account holders will encounter in Brayflox’s Longstop is Hellbender. This giant lizard has a front cone attack that should be avoided. Hellbender also has a point blank AoE that can put unwary characters in danger. To make matters worse, this giant lizard will periodically trap one a member of the party in a bubble. This will apply debuffs on the character so make sure free them quickly. Just before Hellbender dies, it will summon Aiatar. Final Fantasy XIV account owners will then need to bring this dragon’s health to 50% to end the encounter. Afterwards, they can loot Hellbenders FFXIV items and gil.
Extra FFXIV Gil from a mini-boss
Before you head to the final boss’ cave, there is a small alcove nearby. In here you will find a Deep Jungle Coeurl. When fighting this mini-boss, be prepared to dodge its point-blank AoE attack. Once defeated, it has a chance to drop a magical item. Once done with this mini-boss, you can head to the final boss of the dungeon.
FFXIV Gil riches from Aiatar
Aiatar is the dragon players will encounter during the Hellbender fight. In the second fight, you will have to engage him in his lair. There are several skills to be aware of during this encounter. First is Aiatar very quick AoE cone attack. The second is a powerful straight firing dragon breath. The third skill is one that needs the most attention however. The dragon will spit poisonous goo at a party member. When the good lands, it leaves a green puddle of poison on the ground. Characters standing in the battle will take poison damage. What makes this skill even worse is that Aiatar will get healed if he stands in the puddle. For this fight, the tank needs to make sure Aiatar doesn’t get healed, while Conjurers need to use Esuna to cure poison.
