In an earlier guide we discussed the first boss of the Cutter’s Cry dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Now it’s time to learn how to confront the remaining two bosses of this dungeon. Final Fantasy XIV account holders take note and get ready to earn FFXIV items from this dungeon.

Cutter's Cry

FFXIV Gil from clearing antechamber

After dealing with the Myrmidon Princess, FFXIV account holders will need to clear an antechamber before they can move forward in the dungeon. While the monsters in this are by no means tough, players may find the challenge confusing. The next part of the dungeon only opens up when enough monsters have been killed in the antechamber. Note that there is no need to literally clear the area. It is however beneficial to do so for the extra Final Fantasy XIV Gil and items.

Killing the Giant Tunnel Worm for FFXIV Gil

After the antechamber, the next challenge FFXIV Gil hunters need to face is the Giant Tunnel Worm. This second boss uses the ground so players need to watch their footing. During the fight, it will go underground and target a player. Once it does this, the targeted player needs to move from its original location to avoid taking massive damage from its Earthbreak skill. Thankfully the worm will indicate where it is headed by the ground exploding as it passes.

Another move to watch out for from this boss is the Bottomless Desert attack. This happens when the worms is around 50% health. The boss will burrow in the center of the room and pull the party with a whirlwind. Players need to move away from the center as the worm will damage all players caught at the center.

FFXIV Gil by killing the Chimera

The last boss of Cutter’s Cry is the Chimera. FFXIV Gil hunters need to be wary of the color of its eyes throughout the fight. When they grow violet, the boss will perform Dragon’s Voice which is an AoE attack that damages everything except those close to it. When the eyes shimmer blue, it performs Ram’s Voice which does the opposite (damage all those near it.) The Chimera also has Cacophony which unleashes a homing purple ball that explodes after chasing a random party member. Take note of these skills and you’ll be able to dispose of this boss quickly.
