Attacks FFXIV Gil hunters need to avoid

The third boss of the fight Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters need to deal with is Opinicus. This griffon has a few attacks that players need to be wary of to ensure a smooth and easy fight. First off is Alpine Draft. This is a line AoE that blasts players with air. Just watch out for the telegraph and get out of its way. Next is Freefall. You will know that this skill is going to be used because the boss will face towards a random player. It will then jump and land on the target player dealing damage. It will also destroy any nearby pile of rubble. As such, players will need to maneuver their characters to prevent the rubble piles from being destroyed.

Pillars and your FFXIV Gil

One of the things you will notice even before the fight starts in the Dusk Vigil are the piles of rubble in the room. These are used to avoid extra damage from Opinicus’ two skills. The first of these is Whirling Gaol. The latter is a roomwide effect that pulls characters to the center of the room. Reaching the center will deal damage and stun you. To avoid getting sucked to the center of the room, stand behind a pile of rubble. Note that behind here is the side of the rubble farthest from the center of the room.

Another skill that uses the crumbled masonry is Winds of Winter. This time, you will need to position your character such that the rubble is between them and the boss. The skill will deal moderate damage to those not hiding. It will also destroy the piles, but new ones will fall from the ceiling.

FFXIV Gil and item rewards

Clearing the dungeon will reward players with Ishgardian equipment. If you do not want to buy FFXIV Gil just to gear up, this is a good way to save money. The equipment is for level 51 characters and have an item level of 120. Tomestones of Soldiery and Poetics are also awarded.
