Unlocking the Trial for your FFXIV Gil hunter

Players who wish to take on this Trial will need to take the A Relic Reborn questline. Their Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunter need to be at level 50 in a Disciple of Magic or War class. Their item level also needs to be at 52 or above before they can enter. Completion of the Trial will rewards the 8 player party with Allagan Tomestones of Mythology and Soldiery. These can be used to buy endgame FFXIV items.

Attacks of Fire and Ice your FFXIV Gil hunter must avoid

Like the Chimera, the Hydra sports several devastating AoE attacks. Most noticeable of these are the Balls of Ice and Fire it generates. These target random party members and deal the appropriate element damage. Additionally, the balls leave pools of ice or fire that deal damage over time when stepped on. Aside from these, the Hydra has a rear cone AoE and a frontal AoE cone that deals damage and applies a debuff that lessens healing.

Facing Fear Itself for FFXIV Gil

One of the more powerful AoE attacks the Hydra has in its arsenal is Fear Itself. Players will know the boss is going to cast this skill when it moves to the center of the room. Fear Itself deals damage to all characters not stacked on the Hydra. Stay close and you can survive this attack.

Another lethal skill to watch out for is Triumvirate. This frontal cone AoE will easily one-hit any tank. Thankfully, Triumvirate splits its damage to targets hit. As such, it is advised that parties taking on this Trial have two tanks. Two healers are also advised to keep up with the amount of damage this boss deals out. The rest can be damage dealing classes.
