In the third part of our guide we covered the third boss of the Labyrinth of the Ancients raid. Today in the final part of our guide, we will cover the fourth and final boss. We will show how you can get cheap FFXIV Gil from this boss and how to avoid its attacks. So here it is, Labyrinth of the Ancients Part 4 guide.
FFXIV Gil hunters dodging AoEs
You will need to buy FFXIV Gil if you are going to take on the final boss of this raid. Largely because your Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunter will need the money for repairs. This is because of the amount of AoE attacks, Acheron, the final boss unleashes. They can be avoided however since they have very obvious telepgraphs. Their sheer numbers however will make your character dance. One misstep and you’ll be taking on a lot of damage.
FFXIV Gil hunters versus claws
Throughout the fight, Iron Claws will spawn from the edge of the room. These will target the closest character and hold on to them, essentially stunning them. Additionally, they will deal damage to the target until they are dead. As such, tanks not handling the boss should be station at the edges of the area to pull these adds. Once one has appeared, FFXIV players should focus it down quickly. Getting stunned in this boss fight is incredibly disadvantageous due to the sheer amount of area of effect attacks the boss dishes out.
Avoiding the death of your FFXIV Gil hunter
While Acheron’s area of attack skills and Iron Claws can easily be handled, he still has an ace up his sleeve. Twice during the fight, he will use the Ancient Flare skill which will instantly kill all characters in its area of effect. The latter covers the entire room save for three round platforms on the west, south and easy. These platforms will generate a shield if there are enough players on them. The shield can negate the effects of the flare and is the only way to survive the ability.
After an Ancient Flare, the boss will then summon an Iron Giant on each platform. Tanks simply need to pick this add up while the group assigned to the platform take it down. After the two flares, there will only be the AoEs and claws to watch out for in the battle.
