The new patch for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gives FFXIV account holders the ability to give their characters Private Chambers. Final Fantasy XIV Gild hunters who belong to a Free Company will be able to use this feature assuming their company has an estate.
Getting your FFXIV Gil hunter Private Chambers
Priced at 300,000 Gil, Private Chambers are private rooms located in the estate of a Free Company. To be able to purchase a room, a Final Fantasy XIV account holder’s character needs to have at least one class at level 50. Additionally, the character needs to be a second lieutenant in any of the Grand Companies. Note that an estate has a maximum of 512 private chambers. All of which are the same size, regardless of the size of the estate.
Customizing your FFXIV Gil hunter’s room
Players can customize their room similar to how they can customize an estate. They are able to change the name of their room, as well as the greeting for it. A Private Chamber’s owner can also specify who can access their room. The interior walls of the chamber can also be customized. Up to 50 furnishings can also be applied by the player. Note however that only the FFXIV items and furnishings available in the estate can be used for this. Once applied, the furnishing will be bound to the owner of the Private Chamber.
Leaving your FFXIV Gil hunter’s room
Since Private Chambers are part of the Free Company system, before a character can leave a Free Company, they will first need to vacate their Private Chamber. Additionally, the furnishings of a chamber must be removed first before it can be vacated. Finally, while not yet implemented, a Free Company member that has been discharged will automatically have his or her private chamber automatically vacated.
