Snowcloak

Snowball fight for FFXIV Gil

The second boss of the dungeon is the Yeti. Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters will notice Spriggan adds spawn throughout the fight. Do not kill these adds. Instead make sure they are hit by the Yeti’s breath attack. When hit, these adds will turn into snowballs that grow larger, the more times they are hit by the breath attack. These snowballs can then be launched toward the boss to interrupt his Northerlies roomwide AoE attack. Note that Ogres will occasionally spawn and will destroy the snowballs. Make sure to DPS these down quickly.

Keeping your FFXIV Gil hunter alive with icicles

The last boss of the dungeon is Fenrir. This is boss is fairly straight forward and only has the usual cone attacks and a roomwide AoE attack known as Thousand Year Ilm. While the two skills are not lethal, Fenrir has a second roomwide AoE attack called Lunar Cry. Anyone hit by this attack will be debuffed, stunned and will receive a follow up attack called Eclipse Bite. This attack can easily one hit kill squishy characters.

Throughout the fight, players will notice icicles dropping from the ceiling. While these should be avoided due to their AoE and line AoE damage, FFXIV account holders need to watch where they stay. This is important since hiding behind an icicle is the only way to avoid the effects of Lunar Cry.

FXIV Gil and item rewards

Completing the dungeon will reward players with 50 Allagan Tomestones of Soldier. Forty Allagan Tomestones of Poetics is also awarded to party members. The bosses in Snowcloak also drop Hero’s accessories with item level 90.

Crystal Tower and Hildibrand Overview

Crystal Tower was the very first raid-like instance in Final Fantasy XIV. Coil of Bahamut was not really raid-like for me way back because it was just like a dungeon but double the number of people inside. Honestly, it was just like the Primal fights but of course,...
