What’s the perfect time to take screenshots? During the Starlight Celebration of course! That is why Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is holding a screenshot contest during this holiday event. Final Fantasy XIV account holders get a chance to win FFXIV items for their FFXIV Gil hunters. We’ll show you how to join this fun contest.
Entering your FFXIV Gil hunter’s screenshot
To join the contest, players need to take a screenshot of their Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunter. Particularly, they need to show how they are celebrating the holidays in Eorzea. Contestants then need to post their entries in the official contest thread. Note that only the first entry per person will be considered. The screenshots also need to be hosted on an image hosting site. Lastly, except for cropping, the entry cannot be altered or enhanced by image editing software.
Dates FFXIV Gil hunters need to remember
The contest will run from December 18, 2014 to January 4, 2015. Players will know if they have won when the announcement comes out on or around January 19, 2015. One hundred lucky winners will be selected for each localization of the game. Winners will be decided depending on the creativity of the piece, execution and how it fits the contest’s theme. Note that you will need to have an account on the appropriate server in order to win there.
Rewards for your FFXIV Gil hunter
Players who are part of the lucky one hundred players will win a pair of Bluebird Earrings. Note that this lovely accessory can only be traded amongst the characters on your account. Additionally, the item will only be given to the account that posted that winning entry. As such, do not ask friends or other proxies to post an entry for you.
