Like most MMORPGs Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn also has a guild system in the form of Free Companies. Check this guide out if you wish to form or join your fellow FFXIV Gil collectors in one.
Setting up a Free Company with FFXIV Gil
For a character on an FFXIV account to establish a Free Company, certain requirements are needed. First the characters must be at level 25 and a member of a Grand Company. They must also submit a petition signed by at least three players (they can be from different GCs) along with 15,000 FFXIV Gil to a GC Administrator. Finally, they need to choose a tag having 1 to 5 characters.
FFXIV Gil benefits of being in a Free Company
Members of a Free Company can share FFXIV items and FFXIV Gil through a shared chest. They will also have access to a Company Board that acts like an in-game forum. Each FC also has its own chat channel. Best of all, FCs have access to actions that can boost the experience gain of members, improve stats, and other effects.
Joining a Grand Company for more FFXIV Gil
As a character in a FFXIV account goes farther into the questline, they’ll ultimately be required to join one of three Grand Companies. To join, a character must be at level 22 or higher in a Disciple of War/Magic class. No FFXIV Gil fees are needed for this.
Using Company Seals instead of FFXIV Gil
A character can do quests to gain Company Seals once they have joined a GC. This alternate currency can be used to buy FFXIV items unique to the GC that cannot be bought with FFXIV Gil. Items bought with seals include, but is not limited to mounts, armor and item buffs.
