Here is another reminiscing moment again, this time, my experience in trying to finish Titan Hard and Extreme. This fight really is, if I may, a pain in the butt! Like most of the dungeon fights in my FFXIV Account, if you disregard the mechanics, you are dead. Most especially in all Primal fights. It is really hard that you have to keep in mind the mechanics, your role in team and if you are actually the leader of that group, you have to literally hold the hands of the new players or forgive me for using this term, the noobs of the team. It is like piercing both of your temples when at least one of the team member disregards the mechanics and dies, it is considered a wipe.
Titan Hard Mode Experience
I main healer so my experience is in the perspective of a healer. Ifrit fight in Hard mode is a piece of cake to be quite honest. Garuda fight has more mechanics than Ifrit but I can say that is fairly easy as well. But in Titan Hard, all the juices and whatever chemical in your body come out. Really, the salt and the bitterness of having to deal with Titan Fight, my goodness.
The first phase was easy since it was all heal and avoid shit for me as a healer. The group had to stack when Titan jumps and that was the most intense part to heal in the first phase. Onwards, I had to type and heal at the same time and it was really hard. Yes, I acted as a leader every time
Yes, I acted as a leader every time because for some reason, at least one dps derps all the time in terms of mechanics. No our group didn’t use voice chat because we just PUG’d the other missing members and we were in a Japanese server. No point in talking to them in English as not all knew how to speak English. Every “Weight of the Land” by Titan, I had to type in all caps “WOTL INC, MOVE” and not all read the chat thus them catching the AOE with their faces. No point in talking to them in English as not all knew how to speak English. Move, You Fool!
No point in talking to them in English as not all knew how to speak English. Every “Weight of the Land” by Titan, I had to type in all caps “WOTL INC, MOVE” and not all read the chat thus them catching the AOE with their faces. One dead member meant least number of chance to finish the boss and another dead member, whatever role, meant wipe. So yeah, that was pretty annoying.
Since Titan Hard was needed in actually progressing in the game story and gearing wise, I cannot move forward because of all the fail attempts. I had to endure two weeks of only attempting Titan Hard with random people (yes, because my friends got lucky and finished Titan Hard with very good random Japanese groups. But finishing Titan Hard was really fulfilling. It was so hard at that time that you want to throw a party after finishing it! I also got lucky getting a group of experienced Japanese players and finished it with one shot. It was a fun experience.
So much of being friends and finishing it together.) from all over the world and trying to lead them with my heals and shouting in chat all the mechanics. But finishing Titan Hard was really fulfilling. It was so hard at that time that you want to throw a party after finishing it! I will continue with my Titan Extreme experience on the next article.
