My Favorite Fate: The Svara Leveling Grind!

As I was searching for the fastest way to earn gil while leveling, I was able to spam a lot of FATE’s. What is a FATE? FATE means Fully Active Time Events. They are random spawns of either mobs, quest or boss in different maps. Players can participate in them to gain levels and/or gold. Spamming FATEs were actually the fastest and most convenient way to level going back to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. It was a lot of fun because you get to party with random people and see that the population was really active in accomplishing the…

A Community Comparison: FFXIV, WoW, and BnS!

As World of Warcraft still being the champion of MMORPG, how are the other online games fairing against the powerhouse? Well, this time we will be asking in terms of community rating. It is, in my opinion, that community rating of an MMORPG is being underestimated nowadays in terms of grading an MMORPG in general. Admit it or not, we focus more on graphics, gameplay, story or content and the payment model of online games in assessing what to play or recommend. I think it is about time we really consider the community rating of MMORPG’s. The toxicity level in…

My Very First Final Fantasy Game

I am pretty sure I am not the only one with this story. I did not play any Final Fantasy game prior to me creating my FFXIV Account and starting with Final Fantasy XIV. No, please don’t take swings at me saying “how could you miss all the Final Fantasy series?! They (insert profanity) fantastic!” or “you are pathetic” and anything that a Final Fantasy fanboy would say to me for missing out on all those games. So am I the only one who didn’t play any Final Fantasy prior to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn? Final Fantasy is a Gem…

Looking Back on A Realm Reborn Experiences Pt. 2

Here is the continuation of what people thought about Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn from two years ago in Reddit. More Comments From MrDiavolo: “Definitely is. I would suggest that you also use the Libra app they just put out. I didn’t know I even had sidequests left and found many in places I didn’t think of looking. I have it on PS3, but will be upgrading to PS4 (free for PS4 users) when it comes out. The only downsides are a.) gil is hard to come by once you’re level 50 b.) no matter what system you play…

Looking Back on A Realm Reborn Experiences

Now that Heavensward is released, let us take a look back on what people think way back in Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn. Final Fantasy XIV Gil: The Question We are getting the opinions of people from Reddit posts 2 years ago with this question from onepityvote: “Looking to get final fantasy xiv ARR. I have heard that it is much better than the previous final fantasy 14. Just looking to get some opinions on it.” If we also look back, the vanilla Final Fantasy XIV was so bad that many people complained and Square had to pull back, reworked…

Which is Better, ESO or FFXIV?

There is always no justice every time you compare two MMORPG’s. The players of MMO #1 will say that their game is better than MMO #2 and MMO #2 players will say that their game is better than MMO #1. There is no really way to tell which one is better than the other. In other words, we shouldn’t compare. But what if a comparison will help someone decide which game to play? FFXIV Gold: The Question NJDevilsFans7576 asked this in the FFXIV subreddit: “Hey guys, before I re-ask the same question, A little background about myself. Im a huge…

End-Game Healer? Who Do You Pick?

Now that there are three healer options in Final Fantasy XIV, the real question now is which is the best among the three options to bring in endgame content? Let us see what the people say. Final Fantasy XIV Gil: Question Just like me wondering which healer to main in Final Fantasy XIV when it comes to endgame content like dungeons, raids, extremes etc., Calintz_Nexus asked in gamefaqs boards: “Currently trying to choose which healer is more profitable of keeping a party alive majorly in endgame dungeons; I.e: Extremes, Coils, and ect. As of now I have a scholar who…

Astrologian, A Deeper Sneak Peek

So, I was excited about the release of Astrologian two years ago, but what in the world is an Astrologian? I knew then that it is a healer but what can an it do? What are its skills? I assumed that an Astrologian will summon the powers of the stars to heal allies. Was I right? Let’s find out. Brief Background of Astrologian Did some research and came across Astrologian wiki of FFXIV. According to it: “Astrologian is a healer job introduced in 2014 Fan Fest in Tokyo. Astrologian’s main weapon is the Star Globe. The job starts from level 30, does not require a base class and…

New Healer Option in FFXIV, Astrologian

I was really excited when I was downloading the client for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. I was thinking, “finally! I can heal in a Final Fantasy game!” Registered and all, I logged in the game and read up on how to max level a healer. Filled with excitement, I suddenly came into a halt when I realized that there were only two options if you want to be a healer in the game. My only choices were Scholar and White Mage. My enthusiasm all of a sudden became sadness. This was so because of all the MMORPG’s I…

Dark Knight, New Final Fantasy XIV Class

For a year or two of Final Fantasy XIV, there have been only two tanks available in the game. They were the Paladin and Warrior. Players had only two choices to pick from and honestly it was really sad. Wait, there’s more! Warriors were considered unconventional tanks because Paladins were THE conventional tanks. Not to mention that Paladins had more (active) defensive cooldowns than the combo-reliant Warriors thus making Paladins (almost) a requirement as main tank. I know that World of Warcraft is older than Final Fantasy XIV but the discrepancy in number of tank classes in both games is…
