Some places are not always what they seem in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Take for example Cutter’s Cry, a small cave in northern Thanalan. This inviting respite from the sun is actually a deadly dungeon ready to devour those foolish to come near. Final Fantasy XIV account holders however are not easy prey for the enemies within.

Cutter's Cry

Getting your FFXIV Gil inside

Cutter’s Cry is a level 38-40 dungeon found in Central Thanalan. FFXIV account holders need to take or finish the Dishonor Before Death quest in order to gain entry to this dungeon. Note that Final Fantasy XIV Gil hunters over the level limit will be level sync’d down to 41. The dungeon has a time limit of 90 minutes and is designed for parties of up to four players.

Handling boss adds for FFXIV Gil

Various insects and oversized creepy crawlies inhabit the sandy cave. Hunters of FFXIV Gil and FFXIV items will need to clear the tunnels of these monsters until they find their way to the first boss, the Myrmidon Princess. This giant insect summons three types of adds during the fight which players need to dispose of. One of these is the Myrmidon Marshal. This is the most dangerous of the three as it has a strong AoE cone attack. Even worse is its ability to heal the boss.

The second type of add is the Myrmidon Guard. This add has the same strong AoE cone attack and needs to be tanked when it appears. The last summoned mob is the Myrmidon Soldier. This a simple monster that can be killed quickly.

FFXIV Gil and items from first boss

The Myrmidon Princess itself is a simple boss. It has a frontal Cone AoE and a instant melee attack. Casters have to be careful of its ability to silence party members however. It also has a Haste ability that speeds up its adds and itself during the fight. Once defeat, you can earn loot and Gil.
